A dynamic of light-duty and ultra-light freshwater spinning rods. We designed them primarily for panfish, but they satisfy a variety of different APPlICATIONS like small in-line spinners for bass; darts and light jigs for shad; spinners for trout; small bait for bonefish; and even spoons for sea trout. Now, don't get us wrong... they aren't like our spin jig rods. They are more of a lIGHT-DUTY all-around spinning rod with relatively soft butt-sections and light tips. None are rated for over 10-pound line and most are in the 4- to 6- pound test range. If you're fishing in tight quaters or really small creeks, we'd suggest the shorter models, but if you frequent larger streams or ponds and lakes, we'd reccommend the longer rods because they protect light line better and give you increased casting DISTANCE and a longer, more effective hook set. A great rod for shad, this fast-action, moderately powerful rod is designed to fish up to 10-pound test and lures up to 3/8 ounce in strong currents and deep water. It will handle small bass and walleye nicely, and it makes a good finesse rod for warm-water species when lighter line is a must. A fast-action, moderately powerful, freshwater spinning rod, designed to fish in deep water and strong current. It's a good all around rod for trout, walleye and smallmouth bass. Shad anglers will appreciate the extra power in this rod especially when fishing big water in heavy current. It's the most powerful in our line of light-duty freshwater spinning rods. If you're into challenges, try this one for silvers and pinks in Alaska. We know it will handle those big trout.
